Dermal filler is a gel like substance made from hyaluronic acid that is injected into different areas of the face, at different depths to create lift, add volume and contour, and smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Fillers are most often used in the lips, nasolabial folds, cheeks, jaw, and chin, and can be used in other areas to balance out the face. Depending on your selected treatment area, you may receive topical numbing or local anesthesia prior to the procedure. The procedure can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour to perform. Mild swelling, bruising and soreness may occur. You will see your results immediately, and can expect them to last 6-24 months (depending on filler and area).
