"The average global consignment arrival time is 18 days, with a mean of 4.7 days," the FDA states regarding drugs. This implies that there may be wide variations in the proportion of international shipments that arrive on schedule or early.
Agency data shows that between January 2015 and January 2016, the majority of drugs took an average of 72 hours to transport from the United States to the European Union. This is confirmed by documents from the US Agency for International Trade.
